THINKING ABOUT WORK OR STAYING IN WORK? TRAINING? SKILLS? DISABILITY RIGHTS? HOW WORKING FOR OPPORTUNITIES TRUST CAN HELP YOU

1. We are proud to announce that Working for Opportunities has been selected to deliver a new pilot program called “Skills Coaching”. You can discuss in a series of one to one meetings what kind of job could be right for you and what skills you need in this job. We can support you in identifying any courses or training that would be a positive step in you gaining skills towards employment or voluntary work. We will be availabe to give you long-term support, the program is entirely voluntary, and will not affect your benefits.
Please ring Janet Seidel if you would like to know more about the free Skills Coaching.
2. Are you confident in presenting your skills?
Would your CV really impress?
Would you like to learn how to complete a successful application form?
or
Maybe you would like to improve your interview skills?
Our full Job Hunting Training runs on a 10 weekly cycle, but you can also join for sessions that especially interest you. The training takes place every Friday morning and is free to disabled people.
Please ring Janet Seidel if you would like to know more.
3. Disability equality training is often seen as something that only non-disabled people need to undertake. However, we believe this to be an inclusive practice - we all need to be involved!
Our workshops and online training are aimed at increasing awareness of your rights and issues that you may face and we look at strategies to overcome them, so why not book a free place?
One day training courses are held throughout the year at our accessible premises (BSL interpreters and loop systems available by prior request), personal assistance support and a free lunch is standard.
or
You can do our online course called WebEQuality in your own time and pace, from any computer that is linked to the internet. It is very practical training and not like school or college at all. It is free to disabled people. Take a look at our WebEQuality site. You can register on the website and get started whenever you like.
4. Working for Opportunities can support you with free information and guidance. We see ourselves as experts and you can discuss the following points with us:
